PURPOSE
OUR PURPOSE.
The Building & Leveraging Opportunities Foundation (BLO Foundation) was recognized in February of 2022. The purpose of the BLO Foundation is to support programming for communities and individuals in underserved communities in Cuyahoga County, addressing education attainment,
mental health, and economic mobility. The BLO Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Beta Lambda Omega Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated.
In just six short months we have leveraged and distributed funding to send three young men to college and support programming around health care vaccination and financial literacy. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Simpson Huggins, believes that “This platform given to the brothers to
leverage support and awareness around community concerns will provide a blueprint for African American male engagement in underserved communities.”
